Little Girl Bed on a Budget

I like change. That’s probably one of the reasons I can never stop redecorating and changing up our home. Willa recently expressed interest in getting a new bed and I was all over it. When I was pregnant with her, I found this pink crib and fell in love with it. I knew I had to have it if we had a girl. When we found out she was indeed a girl, I ran and ordered the crib. Well, it turns out our girl just isn’t a “pink” girl. She never has been. So, I wasn’t surprised when she wanted a new bed.

I decided I would update the entire room, but knew I had to do it on a budget because we had just recently finished the girls’ room. We aren’t finished redecorating their room just yet, but Willa is loving her new bed so I thought I would share with you our little girl’s bed on a budget.

She wanted a white bed and I found this full sized white metal one for only $140. I wanted to keep their room more neutral so I found this really cute gray and white striped duvet cover for only $35. I knew that I could change the sheets up and pretty much anything would match it. I am already dreaming about getting some Christmas sheets! I got this down alternative insert for it on sale for only $17. I took Willa to Target to let her pick her own sheets. She loved these white ones with metallic hearts. I thought the bed needed a little color so we also got these floral pillowcases from The Land of Nod. Finally, I got this white bed skirt for only $12 to complete the look.

We already owned the white fur pillow which we got at Home Goods. You can find a similar one here. The pink stuffed unicorn was purchased at Target recently; however, I don’t see it online but there is a similar one here and the Jellycat bunny can be found here.

Her bed turned out really cute. We still have a lot to do in their room, but I wanted to go ahead and give you a peek. She has slept SO good in there since we redid it. It really does feel like a dream – and for only $250 for EVERYTHING!

I am excited to finish it up and do a full reveal soon!
