Wearing Pixel Eyewear While Working From Home

My husband and I are both entrepreneurs working out of our house, but it wasn’t always that way. I used to teach second grade and quit to stay home with Willa five years ago. After I had been home with her a year, I felt like I needed to do something. I decided to get my real estate license and six weeks later I was holding it in my hand. My license is currently with Red Barn Homes, the brokerage featured on HGTV’s Flip or Flop Atlanta. I have gotten to film with Ken and Anita a few times and they are super fun and the sweetest people and our brokerage just has the best atmosphere and agents!

I also run A Bragg’s Life every day in between real estate, school drop-offs and pick-ups, art class, dance class, grocery shopping, household chores, etc. When I first started blogging, I was gearing myself more towards lifestyle and mommy stuff. I followed a lot of fashion bloggers and LOVED their pages, but thought there was no way I could do that and be in front of the camera. I got accepted into LikeToKnowIt and my first post was a fashion post. I got a greater response from that one post than I had any other up to that point, which was amazing because I was so scared to post it. Once I saw growth from that post, I decided to change directions and am so glad I did because it’s been more rewarding and much more enjoyable for me. Having my picture taken still isn’t my favorite thing, but with time, I’ve gotten more comfortable and it helps that my hubby is the one who takes all my photos.

Billy is able to be so helpful with ABL because he created and runs his own marketing company, Ignite Media. When people ask me what he does for a living, I always seem to have a blank stare because it can’t be summed up in a word or two. He builds websites, creates logos, music covers, posters/flyers, and so much more for clients who are all in the entertainment industry (musicians, reality stars, tv hosts, etc.) This year alone he has had his work shown on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View, and Wendy Williams. He is one of THE MOST talented people I know and we took a leap of faith five years ago for him to start this business of his own and I am so freaking proud of him!

We also launched an apparel company last year, Motherloving Tees. And if I am being completely honest, we had to revaluate things and take a step away for a moment. We sold over 1,000 shirts during the Christmas season and between filling orders and running our other three businesses, not to mention taking care of our family, we were barely keeping our heads above water. As nice as the profits were from that month, it wasn’t worth us losing our sanity. BUT we have some exciting and creative things in the works for MLT and we are so excited to launch those in the next couple of months!

As you can see, we work on our computers and phones ALL DAY. The stress and strain on our eyes from blue light is a real thing. Billy was constantly complaining of headaches and since we started wearing our computer glasses from Pixel Eyewear, he hasn’t complained one time!

I love Pixel because they have so many cute and fashionable pairs to choose from. Billy looks like such a stud in his that it’s become quite the distraction during the day. ; ) His pair is the Toro in Grey Crystal. I have always thought glasses could be such a fun fashion statement and I am super stoked to finally have a real reason to wear a cute pair myself! My pair is the Ventus in Whiskey Tortoise.

If you are on your computer or phone for any length of time, you can definitely benefit from a pair of blue light blocking glasses, but they also offer prescription and reading glasses as well. They even have a kids line! Pixel has been super kind to share a promo code for you too! If you purchase, save by using the promo code: ABRAGGSLIFE
